Trial Lesson

Come and sample the delights of flight and see the local countryside from the air. You never know, it may be the start of a fantastic career or the beginning of a new hobby. If you decide that you wish to start flying, it will count towards your PPL.

You can buy trial lessons for your loved ones to let them see if flying is really for them.

Trial lessons are conducted in our 4-seater Warrior PA-28. We offer one-hour flights.

What to expect

You will be fully briefed on the functions of the controls and what the flight will entail.

You will taxi the aircraft to the runway and take off with the assistance of your instructor. You will then climb to around 2000 feet and fly the aircraft to the training area where your instructor will go through the controls of the aircraft as explained in the briefing. You will then take control yourself and try some manoeuvres.

When the exercise is finished you will have about 10 minutes when you can fly over some of the area’s important landmarks. If you live nearby, it may be possible to fly over your home before returning to the airfield. On your return your instructor will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

By the end of your flight you will have a good understanding of how aircraft fly and how to control them.
